What is the theory?
The theory is about media being spreadable and as Henry Jenkins stated: "If it doesn't spread it's dead". This refers to spreadability which means a media or property being spreadable.
Example:
when people upload tiktok or youtube video, if the video does't get to spread around then the it is dead. The more views and more share points can help the video become viral.
How to apply this to my our campaign?
- We need to make our video spreadable in order to make audiences for the band. This is for to promote the band. To spread the media we will need to use different platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Twitter etc.
What are the benefits of online/ social marketing?
- user friendly
- Cheap
- International/ national
- Fast & targeted (easier to target audience)
- Interactive (shareable, interactive)
All these benefits help us to use social marketing easier and more spreadable.
